La Reserva Club, Spain, has begun the 100-day countdown to welcoming the Ladies European Tour (LET) for the return of the innovative Aramco Team Series \u2013 Sotogrande<\/i><\/b>, on 18-20 August 2022.<\/p>\n

Tickets are on sale today for fans to see a number of golf\u2019s leading stars set to compete at the world class Andaluc\u00edan resort set in the foothills of the Sierra Almenara; including Spaniard Carlota Ciganda. The 31-year-old returns with a recent taste of victory on the southern Spanish coast after winning the 2021 Andaluc\u00eda Open de Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n

Overlooking a glittering Mediterranean coastline, the 2021 event was especially memorable for Alison Lee, from the U.S., who claimed her first professional victory in the individual element of the tournament and will return in 2022. She said: \u201cI have proven I can play well at La Reserva Club, and I am determined to do so again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLast year there were very few fans on site due to Covid restrictions, but I hope that, having won there some of the locals will come out in support of me in August!\u201d<\/p>\n

Combining a fourball and individual prize, the event\u2019s unique team format sees professionals drafted into teams of three combining with an amateur. With a $1m prize purse up for grabs, the pressure is on all members of the team as the winning amateur from the 2021 Aramco Team Series \u2013 Sotogrande, Ignacio Morillo from Spain, testified: \u201cI cannot describe how hard it is to play for money that is not for you. It is not a normal situation for an amateur.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also teeing up in the Aramco Team Series \u2013 Sotogrande 2022 are 2021 AIG Women\u2019s Open champion Anna Nordqvist, young Australian sensation Stephanie Kyriacou, plus British golf legends Dame Laura Davies and Catriona Matthews.<\/p>\n
