Elisa Gaudet is a cultured, strong, proud, \u00a0 <\/span>fighter, \u00a0 <\/span>committed \u00a0 <\/span>and passionate woman. His relationship with golf began at the young age of twelve and would never cease to be present in his life. With a degree in Literature and Art History, Elisa has collaborated with several American media writing about golf and in 2011 published her first golf book \u201cTWO GOOD ROUNDS 19th Hole Stories from the World\u2019s Greatest Golfers\u201d. Versatile and possessing great beauty, Elisa has worked as a model for many years parading on catwalks around the world.\u00a0 <\/span>For more than two decades he has dedicated himself body and soul to golf, especially women\u2019s golf. Committed to the idea of attracting more women to golf, the American founded in 2016 the Women\u2019s Golf Day, a women\u2019s movement that dresses in red and white golf courses around the\u00a0world during the first week of June.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Elisa: How did the idea of Women\u2019s Golf Day begin?<\/b><\/p>\n

I have been working in the world of golf with Latin America and the PGA Tour for more than 23 years. In 2016 I started with the idea of the project because the clubs told me they wanted more women playing. I have seen then that they organized few things to attract them and not very suitable, so after looking and studying the data on women women playing golf and what they like, I started the Women\u2019s Golf Day<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What does it consist of?<\/b><\/p>\n

It is a week long event once a year from the last Tuesday in May to the first Tuesday in June. ( May 28 \u2013 June 4, 2024). The golf club decides the day that is best for them. It is a four hour expereince with the first two hours\"\" women have a choice of taking lessons, for new and beginners or play a 9 hole scramble, for existing golfers. The second two hours is social and the two groups join. The idea is that there are two hours of play and two social hours and the club can decide if it wants to do it in the morning or in the afternoon. The club only has to register with us through the website and we give them all the marketing tools and materials and they have a profile page on our website for their evento so that woman can find them. They had this page all year long and it helps people find female friendly clubs and allows them to promote their club all year long with other programs and offers they have. Womensgolfday.com<\/p>\n

How has this project grown?<\/b><\/p>\n

It has grown through women\u2019s interest in the movement, we have only listened to women and their needs. It really is very easy for the club to carry it out and they can even win because it can be public or private, it is their own business. It has grown around the world we have over 1200 locations in 84 countries that have participated. Women have become members of clubs and signed thier children up top take lessons and have created a genuine social circle and community.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Has<\/i><\/b> <\/i><\/b>the<\/i><\/b> <\/i><\/b>idea<\/i><\/b> <\/i><\/b>been<\/i><\/b> <\/i><\/b>well<\/i><\/b> <\/i><\/b>understood?<\/i><\/b> <\/i><\/b>In<\/i> <\/i>Spain<\/i> <\/i>there<\/i> <\/i>is<\/i> <\/i>great<\/i> <\/i>confusion<\/i> <\/i>with<\/i> <\/i>this<\/i> <\/i>celebration, they do something for women<\/i> <\/i>and<\/i> <\/i>that\u2019s<\/i> <\/i>it,<\/i> <\/i>but<\/i> <\/i>we<\/i> <\/i>are<\/i> <\/i>an<\/i> <\/i>organization<\/i> <\/i>dedicated<\/i> <\/i>to<\/i> <\/i>growing<\/i> <\/i>the<\/i> <\/i>image<\/i> <\/i>of<\/i> <\/i>women,<\/i> <\/i>that<\/i> <\/i>they<\/i> <\/i>have<\/i> <\/i>more<\/i> <\/i>opportunities,<\/i> <\/i>a<\/i> <\/i>voice<\/i> <\/i>and<\/i> <\/i>a<\/i> <\/i>presence.<\/i> <\/i>In<\/i> <\/i>our<\/i> <\/i>organization<\/i> <\/i>there<\/i> <\/i>are<\/i> <\/i>twelve<\/i> <\/i>people,<\/i> <\/i>specialists<\/i> <\/i>each<\/i> <\/i>in<\/i> <\/i>what<\/i> \"\"<\/i>they<\/i> <\/i>do,<\/i> <\/i>whether<\/i> <\/i>it<\/i> <\/i>is<\/i> <\/i>the<\/i> <\/i>web,<\/i> <\/i>social<\/i> <\/i>networks<\/i> <\/i>or<\/i> <\/i>public<\/i> <\/i>relations.<\/i> <\/i>It<\/i> <\/i>is<\/i> <\/i>a<\/i> <\/i>bit<\/i> <\/i>difficult<\/i> <\/i>to<\/i> <\/i>explain<\/i> <\/i>to<\/i> <\/i>everyone,<\/i> <\/i>but<\/i> <\/i>I<\/i> <\/i>am<\/i> <\/i>sure<\/i> <\/i>that,<\/i> <\/i>through<\/i> <\/i>Ladies<\/i> <\/i>in<\/i> <\/i>Golf,<\/i> <\/i>the<\/i> <\/i>benefits<\/i> <\/i>for<\/i> <\/i>the<\/i> <\/i>club<\/i> <\/i>and<\/i> <\/i>for<\/i> <\/i>women<\/i> <\/i>will<\/i> <\/i>be<\/i> <\/i>understood.<\/i><\/p>\n

How many is it carried out?<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It<\/i> <\/i>has<\/i> <\/i>been<\/i> <\/i>to<\/i> <\/i>84<\/i> <\/i>countries<\/i> <\/i>and<\/i> <\/i>1,200<\/i> <\/i>different<\/i> <\/i>cities<\/i> <\/i>in<\/i> <\/i>2019.<\/i> <\/i>Covid<\/i> <\/i>was<\/i> <\/i>hard,<\/i> <\/i>but<\/i> <\/i>this<\/i> <\/i>year<\/i> <\/i>we<\/i> <\/i>are<\/i> <\/i>in<\/i> <\/i>880<\/i> <\/i>places<\/i> <\/i>in<\/i> <\/i>72<\/i> <\/i>countries,<\/i> <\/i>which<\/i> <\/i>is<\/i> <\/i>a<\/i> <\/i>lot<\/i> <\/i>and<\/i> <\/i>we<\/i> <\/i>are<\/i> <\/i>already<\/i> <\/i>in<\/i> <\/i>places<\/i> <\/i>like<\/i> <\/i>Nigeria.<\/i> <\/i>For<\/i> <\/i>this<\/i> <\/i>you<\/i> <\/i>have<\/i> <\/i>to<\/i> <\/i>always<\/i> <\/i>be<\/i> <\/i>working<\/i> <\/i>very<\/i> <\/i>hard.<\/i> <\/i>Fortunately<\/i> <\/i>we<\/i> <\/i>have<\/i> <\/i>been<\/i> <\/i>with<\/i> <\/i>the<\/i> <\/i>R&A<\/i> <\/i>for<\/i> <\/i>a<\/i> <\/i>couple<\/i> <\/i>of<\/i> <\/i>years<\/i> <\/i>and<\/i> <\/i>with<\/i> <\/i>the<\/i> <\/i>USGA,<\/i> <\/i>PGA<\/i> <\/i>America<\/i> <\/i>and<\/i> <\/i>also<\/i> <\/i>with<\/i> <\/i>federations.<\/i> <\/i>In<\/i> <\/i>2024<\/i> <\/i>the<\/i> <\/i>goal<\/i> <\/i>is<\/i> <\/i>to<\/i> <\/i>concentrate<\/i> <\/i>on<\/i> <\/i>Spain,<\/i> <\/i>Italy<\/i> <\/i>and<\/i> <\/i>the<\/i> <\/i>UK<\/i> <\/i>to<\/i> <\/i>grow<\/i> <\/i>our<\/i> <\/i>presence,<\/i> <\/i>in<\/i> <\/i>these<\/i> <\/i>countries<\/i> <\/i>as<\/i> <\/i>we<\/i> <\/i>did<\/i> <\/i>with<\/i> <\/i>Japan.<\/i> <\/i>In<\/i> <\/i>2022<\/i> <\/i>we<\/i> <\/i>had<\/i> <\/i>3<\/i> <\/i>golf<\/i> <\/i>courses<\/i> <\/i>in<\/i> <\/i>Japan<\/i> <\/i>doing<\/i> <\/i>Women\u2019s<\/i> <\/i>Golf<\/i> <\/i>Day<\/i> <\/i>and<\/i> <\/i>in<\/i> <\/i>2023<\/i> <\/i>we<\/i> <\/i>had<\/i> <\/i>138<\/i> <\/i>courses.<\/i><\/p>\n
