S\u00e1ra Kouskov\u00e1 fired a final round of 67 (-4) to secure her first title on the Ladies European Tour (LET) at the 2025 Jabra Ladies Open. The 25-year-old began the day in second place one shot behind overnight\u00a0Chiara Tamburlini\u00a0at Evian Resort Golf Club.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Back-to-back birdies on seven and eight followed by another on 10 put Kouskova in pole position in France.<\/p>\n

The Czech star dropped a shot on the 14th\u00a0but made back-to-back birdies on the home stretch at 17 and 18 to seal a fantastic maiden title with a score of 10-under-par.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels so special to win here at Evian,\u201d\u00a0said Kouskova.\u00a0\u201cWe have actually been thinking about it during the start of the season, we said let\u2019s win Jabra Ladies Open and we did. It\u2019s very special and I\u2019m very happy for all the hard work we\u2019ve been doing because it\u2019s paid off.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was a little nervous but all the work mentally that I tried to prepare for was really good and I think that\u2019s why I held up so solid during all three days because it was so tough here. Especially mentally and confidence-wise, you really need to play your best golf.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a bit of a relief when the birdies went in on seven and eight because all the moves with the putter were very much a little yippy. I kept reminding myself of the fundamentals I wanted to work on. On seven, it clicked a little bit, and it went in on eight. I missed some short ones too, but the clutch putt on 17 was so big.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know about the leaderboard until on the last putt, Jakub [caddie] said to not hit it too hard, and I thought that must be good and I wasn\u2019t sure how everyone played in the clubhouse. I thought I\u2019m just going to stroke one more putt. I struck the putt on 16 which was about five feet, and I struck that well which gave me a lot of confidence with that putt on 18 because it was a similar break but just a little shorter, so I just did the same thing again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kouskova becomes the fourth Czech to win on the LET following in the footsteps of Klara Davidson Spilkova, Jana Melichova and Kristyna Napoleaova.<\/p>\n

With this victory, the LET winner also gets to play in two majors this summer as she\u2019ll now compete at The Amundi Evian Championship and the AIG Women\u2019s Open.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was very special to have Klara and Kristyna out here and to be able to celebrate it together, it\u2019s way better with them. I\u2019m so glad they were here,\u201d\u00a0she continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s what we\u2019ve been working for to get into majors and to do it here and have it as a bonus of a win on the LET is incredible. You don\u2019t get that at any other tournaments, I\u2019m very happy and I can\u2019t wait. It was a goal this season to get into a major and now we\u2019re in two, so let\u2019s go!\u201d<\/p>\n

Singapore\u2019s\u00a0Shannon Tan\u00a0ended in second place with a total of eight-under-par after a round of 68 (-3) on the final day in France.<\/p>\n

The LET winner got off to a bad start with a double bogey on the first and a bogey on the second, but she soon bounced back with birdies at the third, sixth, eighth and 11th\u00a0putting Tan into contention around Evian.<\/p>\n

In her final four holes, Tan went birdie-birdie on 15 and 16 before dropping a shot on 17, but she finished with a birdie on 18 to end the week in outright second place.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got quite unlucky on the first hole, my ball plugged by the lip, so I had no choice but to try and get it still in the bunker, so I made double,\u201d\u00a0said Tan.\u00a0\u201cOn the second, I went left which was my miss but unfortunately it missed. I think my ball-striking today was quite good, I\u2019ve hit some really good shots.<\/p>\n

\u201cComing into this week, I was a bit nervous, but I think I have conquered Evian in terms of Evian compared to what I did last year, so that\u2019s a positive to look at. The final group is always nice to see what the leaders are doing, but the leaderboard was so packed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it was a good fight in the group, I was a couple of shots behind but I thought anything can happen the last few holes especially. Last year was my major debut here, but at this course knowing I can now hit good shots around here makes me feel better and ups my confidence level.\u201d<\/p>\n

England\u2019s Cara Gainer and Morocco\u2019s Maha Haddioui finished in a share of third place on seven-under-par after they both produced rounds of 67 (-4).<\/p>\n

Four players were on shot further back with Germany\u2019s Helen Briem, England\u2019s Annabell Fuller, Thailand\u2019s April Angurasaranee, and Switzerland\u2019s Chiara Tamburlini<\/strong><\/a> all on six-under-par.<\/p>\n

Germany\u2019s Patricia Isabel Schmidt ended in solo ninth place on five-under with four players rounding out the top 10.<\/p>\n

In the\u00a0LET Order of Merit, England\u2019s Mimi Rhodes leads the way with 1,569.38 points and compatriot Cara Gainer is second with 1,157.18.<\/p>\n

Kouskova has moved up to third place and now has 917.46 points following her victory with Tamburlini in fourth (740.08) and France\u2019s Perrine Delacour in fifth (730.75).<\/p>\n
