We are in for a treat on Sunday at the Tenerife Women\u2019s Open with seven players sat within two shots or better of leader\u00a0Sara Kouskova<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Four back before the start of play at Abama Golf, Kouskova, the most recent winner at the Jabra Ladies Open, continued her fantastic form firing a round of 69 (-3) to move to eight-under par.<\/p>\n

The Olympian got off to a steady start carding five birdies in a row to begin her day. As overnight leader\u00a0Lauren Walsh<\/a>\u00a0dropped shots elsewhere, Kouskova soon got things going when she birdied the par-4 6th to move up the leaderboard.<\/p>\n

Another birdie followed at the 11th before the Czech star dropped her only shot of the day at the 12th. As the heat picked up in Tenerife, Kouskova finished strong with birdies at the par-3 14th and par-5 17th to take the solo lead.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was nice and steady today,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Kouskova said.\u00a0\u201cPatient I would say. Lots of solid shots and a great save at the 18th. I think yesterday was tough towards the end. I struggled to keep my focus when I was finishing. So it was nice to get it going today. I\u2019m looking forward to some rest!<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI try not to think about it [winning again]. I\u2019m just happy that I\u2019m hitting good shots and we\u2019re making good decisions. We\u2019ll see what tomorrow brings.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

A stacked leaderboard follows heading into the final round; Spain\u2019s\u00a0Ana Pelaez Trivi\u00f1o<\/a>, Singapore\u2019s\u00a0Shannon Tan<\/a>\u00a0and Finland\u2019s\u00a0Noora Komulainen<\/a>\u00a0sharing second position on seven-under par.<\/p>\n

The former, a one-time Ladies European Tour (LET) winner, carded the round of the day 66 (-6) to soar up the leaderboard. This included the fourth hole-in-one of the week which came at the 7th.<\/p>\n

Pelaez Trivino said:\u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t remember the last ace I had so it was nice to have one. I think that\u2019s at least four now. After that, I just played really good golf today. Simple and easy golf.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI love when I play at home. And I love being at the top of the leaderboard [at home] for tomorrow. Hopefully we can have a really nice show for the people here. I love playing at home. It\u2019s special and it\u2019s going to be special tomorrow.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

While Komulainen, chasing a maiden LET victory, was helped by a multi-talented local caddie in Tenerife.<\/p>\n

The Finnish star explained:\u00a0\u201cI have a local caddie, Martel. He\u2019s a sports massage therapist as well! So I\u2019m going to have a massage after this. I\u2019m really looking forward to tomorrow.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Four players sit two shots back from Kouskova on six-under par, a quartet which includes Germany\u2019s Helen Briem, Austria\u2019s Emma Spitz, Italy\u2019s Alessandra Fanali and New Zealand\u2019s Amelia Garvey.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s Diksha Dagar sits solo ninth on five-under par. Three players round out the top-10 on four-under par, a group consisting of Order of Merit number one Mimi Rhodes from England, overnight leader Walsh, who carded a disappointing 77 (+5), and Germany\u2019s Patricia Isabel Schmidt.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Scotland\u2019s Lorna Mcclymont also carded a hole-in-one at the 4th. The ace was the fourth of the week at Abama Golf.<\/p>\n

The fourth and final round of the Tenerife Women\u2019s Open gets underway on Sunday at 8:45am. The leaders go out at 10:30am.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
