Singapore\u2019s Shannon Tan sank her par putt on the last to secure a one-shot victory and her second Ladies European Tour (LET) title after a tense final day at the 2025 Amundi German Masters.\u00a0<\/strong>It was a windy fourth round on the North Course at Green Eagle Golf Courses with players battling the conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tan, who led overnight with a score of 12-under-par, opened with eight pars before making back-to-back bogeys on the ninth and 10th\u00a0holes.<\/p>\n

A birdie on 11 put the Olympian back to a three-shot advantage over Germany\u2019s\u00a0Helen Briem<\/strong><\/a>, who was playing in the group in front.<\/p>\n

However, bogeys on 13 and 17 saw the lead reduce to just one shot with one hole to play as Briem held the clubhouse lead on eight-under-par.<\/p>\n

After making it onto the 18th\u00a0green, the 21-year-old knocked her birdie putt a few feet past but then rolled in the par putt to clinch her second LET title with a score of nine-under-par.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt means a lot to win, especially after being in contention the past few weeks and not being able to close out in the last round,\u201d\u00a0said Tan.\u00a0\u201cIt definitely hurt before, but to get the victory this week means a lot to me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will admit, I missed a few greens out there on the front nine. The work that I put in last week when I saw my coach, we did a lot of short game, and also changed the shaft on my wedges, that paid off.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was missing the greens but missing it in the right spots for most of them. That definitely does help. It was quite windy out there, but if it\u2019s windy for me then it\u2019s windy for everyone else. I just went out there and controlled the controllables and that\u2019s all I could do.<\/p>\n

\u201cI only knew the situation when I was walking up on 18, I looked at the leaderboard and knew I had to two-putt it. That\u2019s the only time I looked at a leaderboard. The birdie putt definitely had a chance, I hit it two or three feet past but it had a chance considering it was 11 paces downhill.\u201d<\/p>\n

Germany\u2019s Briem<\/strong> produced a round of 73 (E) to finish in outright second place on eight-under-par in Hamburg.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old dropped her only shot of the day on the ninth before she lipped out for eagle on the 11th\u00a0hole and tapped in the birdie putt to get back to eight-under.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, it\u2019s a shame about the two missed putts on the 17th and 18th holes, but it was a very solid performance over the four days,\u201d\u00a0said Briem.\u00a0\u201cThere is still a lot of potential, especially on the greens, but in the end, I\u2019m very satisfied.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never seen so many spectators at a tournament before. It was really great. There were a lot of people, especially at the key holes. That was so cool. When there are so many people at the last par-3s, the adrenaline rush is even greater. It\u2019s another solid result.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very happy with the last few weeks. We\u2019ve made the right adjustments. Now I\u2019m looking forward to a break and then my first major.\u201d<\/p>\n

New Zealand\u2019s\u00a0Amelia Garvey<\/strong>\u00a0carded a round of 72 (-1) to end the week in third place on seven-under-par in Germany.<\/p>\n

It is the rookie\u2019s third top-10 in four weeks and equalled her best finish of third place at the Hulencourt Women\u2019s Open.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very pleased,\u201d\u00a0said Garvey.\u00a0\u201cI hardly made any bogeys out there around this track, so I\u2019m really pleased with how me and Jamie [Tipper] went about this course.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were really smart, and it seemed to pay off. Shannon lit it up. I\u2019m really looking forward to Ireland, I\u2019ve played at Carton House before. My game is in a good spot.\u201d<\/p>\n

South Africa\u2019s Lee-Anne Pace and Ireland\u2019s Anna Foster shared fourth place on four-under-par with India\u2019s Vani Kapoor and Czechia\u2019s Tereza Melecka in T6.<\/p>\n

One shot further back in a tie for eighth place were India\u2019s Diksha Dagar and Germany\u2019s Carolin Kauffmann with four players rounding out the top 10.<\/p>\n

In the\u00a0LET Order of Merit<\/strong><\/a>, England\u2019s Mimi Rhodes and Czechia\u2019s Sara Kouskova are still in first and second place, but Tan has jumped from sixth to third in the standings and now has 1,391.59 points.<\/p>\n

England\u2019s Cara Gainer<\/strong> is fourth with 1,259.68, Germany\u2019s Helen Briem<\/strong> is just behind in fifth with 1,219.45 and South Africa\u2019s Casandra Alexander is sixth.<\/p>\n

Next for the LET is a trip to Dublin for the KPMG Women\u2019s Irish Open<\/strong>, which is taking place at Carton House<\/strong> between July 3-6.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
