Shin held a five-stroke advantage heading into the final round and began with five pars on her scorecard but then got a little nervy making three bogeys on the trot. <\/strong><\/p>\nThe 33-year-old sunk a clutch seven-foot par putt to steady herself before birdies on holes 10 and 12 put her in pole position once again. <\/strong><\/p>\nDespite bogeys on 16 and 18, Shin had done enough to seal victory alongside caddie Shane Codd. <\/strong><\/p>\n\u201cToday, I was just trying to stay in it. Don\u2019t sink the ship. Don\u2019t mess up. I definitely have that over and over, and it was quite grim after my third bogey,\u201d Shin continued. <\/strong><\/p>\n\u201cTo see the ball go off the green on number nine, I was about to cry there. I was really happy that I sunk that seven-footer and to come back with a birdie on number 10, I felt pretty comfortable and like I was ready to take on anything. <\/strong><\/p>\n\u201cShane is very good at just making sure I\u2019m calm. I\u2019ve got a very chaotic mind and he knows how to calm that down which is really all you need from a caddie. I did ask him when I was panicking what should I do? He just said be with me, just stay here with me and look at me. Look at the ball and just commit to what you were doing all week. I did that and that\u2019s how I hung in there.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\nKorea\u2019s A Lim Kim ended the week in solo second place on seven-under-par after a final round of 68 (-4) which included five birdies and one bogey. <\/strong><\/p>\n\u201cMy shot was good today, and everything was pretty good. But at the last couple of holes, if I made birdie putt then I would have been close to perfect,\u201d said Kim. <\/strong><\/p>\n\u201cWe know already how much wind, so it\u2019s trusting myself is important for me. I wanted to be aggressive, but it didn\u2019t work, so it\u2019s golf. A lot of the same conditions this week and wind strength as next week, so it was good preparation.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\nThailand\u2019s Pajaree Anannarukarn was third on five-under-par with Germany\u2019s Esther Henseleit one shot further back in fourth. <\/strong><\/p>\n2024 champion Lauren Coughlin shared fifth place alongside Japan\u2019s Miyu Yamashita with Thailand\u2019s Chanettee Wannasaen in seventh on two-under after a round of 69 (-3).<\/strong><\/p>\n\u201cMy front nine was really good, it should be better. I missed short putts but it\u2019s good because overall today the back nine is a bit stronger. Last three or four months I\u2019ve been struggling out there, I got an injury on my thumb,\u201d said Wannasaen. <\/strong><\/p>\n\u201cI had no idea about my position of qualifying for AIG. I tried to stay in the present and not think about the future because of the wind and the tough conditions. It was a different mindset of let it go.
