Johan Edfors<\/strong> has won the European Legends Cup by SR Nexus<\/strong> after producing a spectacular final round at Fontanals Golf<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The Swede carded an impressive 64, eight under par<\/strong>, to finish on 15 under par<\/strong> and claim the title by three shots. The victory is Edfors\u2019 second of the season on the Staysure Legends Tour<\/strong>.The result also brings a change at the top of the rankings. Stephen Gallacher becomes the new No. 1<\/strong>, while Edfors moves into second place<\/p>\n Johan Edfors\u2019 victory is even more impressive considering how the tournament began.<\/p>\n The Swede opened the European Legends Cup<\/strong> with a 72. He then responded with an outstanding 65 on Saturday<\/strong> to move firmly into contention.<\/p>\n But he saved his best for the final day.<\/p>\n Edfors fired a brilliant 64<\/strong> to complete an extraordinary turnaround. In just 48 hours, he went from level par to 15 under par<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The comeback reflects Edfors\u2019 excellent form. At 50, the Swede is enjoying another successful chapter in his professional career.<\/p>\n Edfors\u2019 career has also been defined by comebacks.<\/p>\n The Swede began his professional career on the Challenge Tour<\/strong>, where he claimed his first victories before earning his place on what was then the European Tour.<\/p>\n His arrival at the highest level of European golf was spectacular.<\/p>\n In 2006, he won three tournaments<\/strong>, a season that transformed his career.<\/p>\n Over the years, however, he also experienced the challenges of professional golf. He lost his Tour card and returned to the Challenge Tour, where he once again managed to win.<\/p>\n Now, at the age of 50, Edfors has found a new stage on the Staysure Legends Tour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n His first season on the circuit has been impressive. After winning in Ireland earlier this season, he has now added another title at Fontanals Golf.<\/p>\n He also has five top-10 finishes in his debut season<\/strong> on the circuit.<\/p>\n Rather than simply a second youth, it feels like a second chance for a player who has never lost his winning instinct.<\/p>\n Edfors approached the final round with patience. He opened with three consecutive pars before making three birdies on the front nine.<\/p>\n The decisive moment came from the ninth hole onwards.<\/p>\n The Swede produced six birdies in seven holes<\/strong>, a spectacular run that opened up the leaderboard.<\/p>\n Edfors reached the closing holes with a sizeable advantage.
