Sardinia in Italy is a destination with the most impressive beaches you can imagine. Quite simply, nature at its most beautiful. This\u00a0<\/strong>pearl of the Mediterranean also has a surprising historical heritage, with archaeological\u00a0<\/strong>findings dating back to the Bronze Age, old-fashioned villages and a very distinctive\u00a0<\/strong>cuisine which combines the sea and land, getting the most out of local produce and\u00a0<\/strong>traditions. Such authentic dishes as Fr\u00e9gola (a type of pasta) and Cochinillo (suckling\u00a0<\/strong>pig) are best sampled here and can be washed down with one of the many wonderful<\/strong>
\nwines from the area. A true delight for the palate. The luxury and glamour of the island,\u00a0<\/strong>attracting many of the international jet set every summer, is mainly found on the\u00a0<\/strong>Emerald Coast. The famous Port Cervo and Port Rotondo boast spectacular large\u00a0<\/strong>yachts, exclusive boutiques, restaurants and a vibrant nightlife. The golf courses on the\u00a0<\/strong>island vary greatly depending on the area and the surrounding nature. Is Molas Golf, Is\u00a0<\/strong>Arenas and El Pevero stand out for their history and worldwide reputation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

CAGLIARI Baroque y palazzi<\/strong><\/p>\n

This city offers picturesque historical neighbourhoods with views of the sea, enchanting shopping streets and open terraces, It includes the Bastione Di Santa Croce, the ideal place to spend an evening taking in the sunset. Cagliari is the main and most populated city in Sardinia and is also the port of entrance to the island and a hotspot for Mediterranean cruise ships. This historical city goes back thousands of years, from prehistoric times until the kingdom of Savoy. The Castello neighbourhood stands out on the highest hill and boasts ancient bastions which nowadays are the heart and soul of its nightlife. Also, its picturesque streets are notable for their large ancient houses such
\nas the Palazzo Regio and Palazzo di Citt\u00e0, as well as the Santa Mar\u00eda Cathedral. Villanova connects to the Castillo neighbourhood via the stairs of the Bastione di Saint Remy. Below, the Marina neighbourhood draws you in with its buildings and gantries of Via Roma, including the Palazzo Civico. Established as a fishing and trade village, it reflects perfectly the multiethnic nature of the city. It is home to the Sant’Eulalia church, which

VILLASIMIUS the craving of the sea<\/strong><\/p>\n

Less than 35 km from Cagliari, on the south-east coast of Sardinia, you can find the village of Villasimius. Along its entire coast you can see some of the most attractive homes on the island. It offers beautiful beaches with turquoise waters and stunning rounded cliffs which offer panoramic and fascinating views of the road which borders the

COSTA DE CHIA nature Oasis<\/strong><\/p>\n

Coastal and spa retreat, Chia is visited by many people of Cagliari during the hottest
\ntimes of the year, due to its proximity. It hosts several resorts and vacation retreats but has still not succumbed to rampant tourist development like other cities. Its 6 km of blue
\nand emerald waters that grace its numerous beaches make it a unique natural paradise. In the coastal lakes of Chia and Spartivento, alongside the dunes, you can find concentrations of aquatic species such as pink flamingos, which find an oasis of
\ntranquillity here in this part of the Mediterranean. The Spanish tower dating back to the 17th century is a landmark of Chia, which can be seen from every beach, even at night when it becomes even more imperious, dominating the landscape from the hill where the Acropolis of the ancient Punic city of Bithia lies.<\/p>\n

ALGHERO the Sardinian-Catalan town<\/strong><\/p>\n

Small, but for many, the most beautiful city on the island, the Sardinian-Catalan town of Alghero lies on the north-east coast of Sardinia. Its name comes from the seaweed which remains on the San Giovanni beach after a few days\u2019 storm. The Barceloneta Sarda boasts waters of the Costa del Coral, and is renowned all around the world for its spectacular beaches and its emblematic old part of town which has quickly become one of the most frequently visited Mediterranean holiday destinations.<\/p>\n

BOSA back to the Past<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the most pleasant surprises the more peaceful part of Sardinia offers, away from the beaches filled with tourists, is the city of Bosa, an authentic place where you can feel the true essence of the island. Its narrow streets with vibrant blue coloured houses offer a wonderful place to lose yourself for a few hours while you take in its history. Located in a small space between the mountains and the sea, Bosa lies on the shore of the river Termo, built around the foot of the mountain, which is ruled by the Malaspina castle, an almost impregnable fortress.<\/p>\n

COSTA ESMERALDA luxury in Porto Cervo<\/strong><\/p>\n

Porto Cervo is the undisputed capital of the Emerald Coast, and is an idyllic retreat for the
\nrich and famous, who are attracted by its beaches and the luxurious atmosphere surrounding its port, which is filled with restaurants, recreational vessels, golf courses,
\nand boutiques offering the most prestigious fashion labels. Born out of the instinctive nature and patronage of Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, who, attracted by the beauty of its beaches and coast, made a significant investment to create a luxury tourist destination for the international jet set. The recreational port at Porto Cervo is a bustling area, especially in summer, with its many luxury yachts of incredible size. Part of this is also due to being the base of the Emerald Coast Yacht Club which often organises international regattas
\non its beautiful waters. Porto Rotondo is a retreat on the Emerald Coast, north of Monte Ladu and not far from Olbia, the region\u2019s capital. Its waters, which show off so many different colour tones, and its recreational offer, make it another popular destination for
\nluxury tourism. Its name comes from the natural circular cove which provides a home to the port. Not to be outdone by Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo is also a luxury destination which began during the 70s, under the patronage of the Dona delle Rose family.<\/p>\n

GOLF IS MOLAS the most Beautiful Technique<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Is Molas Golf Course is one of the most famous in Italy, and has been the benchmark
\nfor this sport in Sardinia for over thirty years. Thanks to the proximity of the sea and the
\nprotection of the surrounding hills the locality of Is Molas enjoys a unique microclimate, mild and particularly favourable for golf all year round: the temperature reaches 20 degrees C at the beginning of the spring, rises to over 30 in summer and even in December and January can easily exceed 15 degrees. The golf course at Is Molas was the first in Sardinia and with its twenty-seven holes is the largest on the island.
\nThe eighteen holes of the championship course have been created out of a collaboration between the Cotton, Pennink & Partners studio and Piero Mancinelli. The greens and bunkers are American in size and style, while the fairways are broad enough to forgive a slice. The Is Molas championship course is considered one of the most
\ntechnically satisfying and spectacular courses not just in Italy, but in the whole of the
\nMediterranean area. It has staged many prestigious competitions, including four Italian
\nOpens and a European Volvo Masters. The nine holes of the Yellow Course, the most
\ndifficult to play, have been laid out by Franco Piras, Gary Player Design\u00b4s representative in Italy. The presence, along the course, of all the typical species of Sardinia\u00b4s native flora and the Mediterranean macchia makes the Is Molas Golf Club a beautiful garden with a view of the sea.<\/p>\n

GOLF EL PEVERO where the Sun never Sets<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Pevero Golf Club, designed in 1967, was inaugurated in 1972. It is a magical place; with its natural ponds among the rocks and a scented undergrowth of juniper, myrtle and arbutus, the path has always been harmonized with the nature that surrounds it and each hole is different from the other. Starting tees and greens are panoramic points from which to admire the Costa Smeralda. From hole 4, enclosed by rocks smoothed by the wind, one can see, beyond the Gulf of Pevero and the island of Caprera, the reliefs of Corsica.
\n“The sun never sets on the field of Robert Trent Jones”: this phrase has always represented the work of the great architect who designed the field for Prince Karim Aga Khan. The skilful positioning of the bunkers, the creation of elongated and raised greens to make the course playable with winds of different directions have always been a point of reference in golf design. Thanks to the beauty and the technical characteristics of the track, the Pevero has been repeatedly recognized as one of the best fields in the
\nworld (Golf Magazine has ranked it among the top 50 in the world). The course is absolutely enjoyable with little wind, but becomes extremely challenging starting from the back tees and in sustained wind conditions. Here pitfalls and obstacles require great technique, precision and mental discipline. An example is represented by the Italian Open of 1978, won by Dale Hayes on Tommy Horton, with a score of 293 hits, a good five hits over the par of the field.
