What was the reason to come to live in Marbella?

Work initially and now Golf as well!

The past couple of years playing golf and meeting so many new people have changed my life. Of course I miss Finland at times, especially the snow in winter and ice swimming… but I am very happy here!

And when  did you start to play golf?

Shortly after I moved here in 2021 a friend I used to play tennis with, many years ago, called me. Following the long and depressive Covid period, she wanted to take up a physical activity to get back in shape and be in a better state of mind. I suggested golf and that’s how it all started.

Is your friend still playing golf?

Yes, of course. Golf has changed her life as well.

What is the best thing about the game?

The people! I am a member of Los Arqueros Golf and Country Club and I love it there!  I frequently play with people from completely different countries and backgrounds.  Our golf games are never the same, some are great and others are frustrating, but we’re out there as a group, encouraging and motivating each other. And afterwards, well, it’s fantastic to socialize together.

 And what is the worst part of the game? 

Hmm…for me…I hate three putting 🙁

What is your goal in golf? 

I’m actually very pleased because in two years my handicap has gone down to 25, but I’d love to lower it more.

 I get a lot of inspiration from playing with lower handicap golfers… they make it look so easy.

The amazing thing is… we can all play together because of the handicap system.

I may be just a beginner but I get so much out of the game. It’s never too late to start!

Who is your favorite professional golfer? 

I admire Tiger Woods’ approach to the game.

 So, golf has helped you in your life?

Absolutely, apart from meeting new people,  I have learned etiquette, discipline, patience, respect and an understanding of other players.

And it has opened doors for my work!

In Helsinki, I was teaching at a Business Academy, some of the subjects included: setting up of a business, taxation and marketing.  Apart from my family and friends,  two of the most important things  in my life are …..my company and golf.  Sometimes they complement each other as I often meet new clients out on the course. 

What are the services you offer in your company? 

We offer full home services. Most of my clients are from Finland,  Sweden, Denmark and Norway, to name a few. They have residences in this region but do not live here permanently. It is very important and very convenient for them to have someone they trust based here in Marbella!

We prepare clients ‘ residences for their arrival so they can just relax and enjoy their time whilst here. We can also book activities for them…  golf games off course,  wine tasting,  boat trips, shooting, horse riding, spa days and any other arrangements they may require.

In fact,  we offer comprehensive services which could include doing the shopping and filling up a fridge before the client’s arrival, organizing car transfers from abroad to Marbella and back, preparing pools and  gardens, ensuring that their  children are looked after by organizing babysitters (we cater for five languages) and so much more…  

I would like to add that apart from the above services, we can organize for their properties to be rented  when they are not here, if they so wish. And if repair works, renovations or an alarm system are needed we can assist with that as well.

 Could you tell us why anyone should come and contract you? What is the difference between your business and any other similar?
