Marta Muñoz and Adriana García Terol headline Europe’s 2026 PING Junior Solheim Cup team

Spain will have four representatives in the 12-player European team competing at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands in September

 European captain Anne van Dam has announced the 12 players who will represent Europe at the 2026 PING Junior Solheim Cup, taking place on 7–8 September at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands, the same venue that will host the Solheim Cup later in the month.

The European team features players from six different countries, combining the six highest-ranked qualifiers from the European ranking with six captain’s picks.

Four Spaniards in the European team

Spain will have a particularly strong presence with Adriana García Terol, who qualified through the European ranking, and captain’s picks Marta Muñoz, Carlota López Minguela and Carolina Pérez-Tasso.

Marta Muñoz earned her captain’s pick after winning the R&A Girls’ Amateur Championship last Saturday, beating fellow Spaniard Adriana García Terol in a historic all-Spanish final.

Anne van Dam to captain Europe on home soil

Van Dam, who represented Europe at the 2013 PING Junior Solheim Cup and later at the 2019 Solheim Cup, will now lead the European team in her home country.

“I’m thrilled to announce my team and congratulations to all the girls. I can’t wait to bring the whole team together in the next few weeks,” said the captain.

Van Dam also highlighted the historic nature of this year’s competition, with the PING Junior Solheim Cup being played on the same course as the Solheim Cup for the first time.

For van Dam, the event also represents a full-circle moment in her career: “Thirteen years ago I was part of an incredible PING Junior Solheim Cup European team. To now have the chance to lead the next generation of stars is a great privilege.”

Europe targets third victory in four editions

Modelled on the Solheim Cup, the PING Junior Solheim Cup brings together the 12 leading female junior golfers from Europe and the United States every two years. Players are aged between 12 and 18.

The competition begins on Monday, 7 September, with six foursomes and six fourball matches, followed by 12 singles matches on Tuesday, 8 September.

Europe will be looking for its third victory in the last four editions, having won in 2021 and 2023 before the United States triumphed on home soil in 2024.

The young players will then remain at Bernardus Golf to watch the Solheim Cup, which gets underway on Friday, 11 September.

The PING Junior Solheim Cup has established itself as an important showcase for the next generation of women’s golf stars. Players including Charley Hull, Carlota Ciganda, Nelly Korda and Lexi Thompson all began their Solheim Cup journeys in the junior competition.
