LIV Golf UK 2025 Generates $63 Million Economic Impact Ahead of 2026 Return to JCB Golf & Country Club

LIV Golf has announced that its 2025 event in the United Kingdom delivered a local economic impact of $63 million (approximately £45 million), further strengthening the tournament’s role as one of the most significant sporting events on the British summer calendar.

Held at JCB Golf & Country Club, LIV Golf UK attracted 43,000 spectators over three days in 2025, generating substantial revenue for the Staffordshire and West Midlands region through tourism, hospitality, transport, and local employment. The event’s impact contributes to LIV Golf’s global footprint, which now exceeds $1.5 billion in total economic impact worldwide, with more than $600 million generated in 2025 alone.

LIV Golf UK strengthens economic and tourism impact in Staffordshire

The tournament, staged in Rocester, brought visitors from across the UK and overseas, boosting hotel stays, restaurants, and local businesses. According to LIV Golf, 39% of spectators travelled from outside the local area, while 18% stayed in paid accommodation during the event, highlighting the tournament’s strong tourism draw.

Ross Hallett, Executive Vice President and Head of Events at LIV Golf, underlined the event’s significance:

“When LIV Golf comes to town, the entire economy and community benefits. The commercial activity generated across Staffordshire and the wider region reinforces our commitment to creating events that leave a lasting legacy beyond the final round.”

The event’s success has also helped establish LIV Golf UK as one of the league’s flagship international tournaments, with the partnership between LIV Golf and JCB Golf & Country Club continuing for a third consecutive year.

LIV Golf UK returns in July 2026 with star players

The 2026 edition of LIV Golf UK will return to Staffordshire from 23 to 26 July 2026, once again hosted at JCB Golf & Country Club. The tournament is expected to feature some of the biggest names in world golf, including players from Majesticks GC, the home team for the UK event, alongside global stars competing across the league.

As one of the most anticipated stops on the international LIV Golf calendar, the event combines elite golf competition with a festival-style fan experience, including entertainment zones, live music, and family-friendly attractions.

Sustainability and younger audiences drive LIV Golf growth

LIV Golf UK 2025 also marked a milestone in sustainability. The event achieved 100% renewable energy use and diverted all waste from landfill, building on its second consecutive GEO-certified sustainability recognition. It was also the first LIV Golf event to integrate solar energy into temporary event infrastructure.

The tournament continues to attract a younger demographic, with 26% of attendees under 35 years old and 32% attending a golf event for the first time, reinforcing LIV Golf’s strategy to reach new audiences and modernise the sport.

With events across multiple continents, LIV Golf’s economic impact continues to grow in every host destination. The UK stop has become a central part of that strategy, blending high-level competition, tourism promotion, and regional economic development.

The return to JCB Golf & Country Club in July 2026 is expected to once again bring international stars, thousands of fans, and a significant boost to the local economy, consolidating Staffordshire as a key destination on the global golf map.
