Fun, enjoyable, restless and very sociable, this is Luisa Jiménez, the Baviera Golf captain. Her curiosity made her try golf and she felt in love with the sensation since she saw her first balls fly. She is a lawyer that every weekend changes the seriousness and tension of the trials for the fun and relaxation that this sport gives her. She ensures us that she has found a family at Baviera Golf. This club offers her everything she needs: a professional academy, a nice atmosphere, an enjoyable course and many friends. Nicknamed “Luichi”, thanks to her extrovert and motivating character and to her capacity to win over everyone she achieved the appointment of captain and Solheim Cup ambassador.

When Aurora, the Baviera Club manager, called her to tell her that she had been appointed as a Solheim Cup ambassador, Luichi was thrilled and she settled her new objectives: “I got my act together to learn more about this sport and improve. I want to make the best of the Solheim to call the attention not just of women, but of everybody, golf players or not. I want to show that I am an ordinary person, that I am always laughing, proving so that golf is fun and that it is more accessible and closer than what people think. Furthermore, this is a sport not just to make business but to enjoy and meet people”, she explains.

She has found her home at Baviera Golf: “lt is a course comfortable to walk, ít is affordable to anyone and it is very giving. The hospíta!íty that you find at Baviera is not easy to find in other clubs, because al! the members have such a big connection among  them that they called  themselves a famíly and they make you feel part of ít. The moment you arrive, you find nice and kind people that make that your stay there the most agreeable possible. They help you with everything you need, they facilítate the bookings, they take care of the course daily, making sure that the game is fast” she tells.

She arrived to golf in an unexpected way: ”The same as everything in my lífe, it was by chance. Out of curiosity, I try everything and, even though I have watched golf since a long time ago and I was interested, I didn’t understand it. I met someone who played and who explained to me what ít is, so one day I decided to try. I was 43 years old and I was told that ít was a very different sport to what I was used to practicing.  When I tried, I found I could soon hit the ball, I’ve been told that this is not normal, but I had balance, coordination and discipline because I had practice other sports befare. I began to be an enthusiast of golf and ! felt in love wíth it completely because the satisfaction you feel the moment you hit the ball is the highest”.

There have been 5 years Since that first encounter until now and golf has attracted her so much that she has abandoned the surf, the dinghy sailing and the canyoning: “What I like the most is playing, meeting other people and visiting courses far from here. I !ove being in different and difficult situations. Golf gives me tranquillity All the sports I used to practice carried a lot of tension, that is why at first, I made such quick movements that I made divots incessantly Now golf gets me relaxed, it makes me slow down. I have learnt to walk and enjoy the nature, the birds, the beauty of the course and I have stopped rushing. lt helps me to relax”, explains Luisa.

Every Friday, Luichi has a class with Paco Natoli at Baviera Golf Committed, responsible and self-exigent, sometimes golf is a challenge for Luichi: “The worst is knowing that you can do it but not to do it. That frustrates you very much. When I make a bad swing and I don’t know the reason I start thinking about it until I find it, but sometimes there is not an explanation, it depends on the day and, most of all, on your state of mind”.

An admirer of the professional women’s world, this brilliant lawyer dreams of a special game: “I’d love to play golf with Ana Peláez, because I love the way she is, how she p/ays and how humble she is. I am fascinated with how easy she makes the game seem. I would !ove to share with her a golf round, but if it is not possible to do that then I would !ove to play with any other professional woman”, she says.
