After been playing as a professional for about 20 years I always had a desire to start something and build something up to give back to the golfing com-munity. I always had a vision to create a Pro Am event, which later went into making more events, and now we are making two events per year. One in March, which is the flagship event, Setune International Pro Am Costa del Sol and in November is the amateur pairs event called Setune Amateur Pairs. My desire is to grow these events to be known in the world and for people to travel to come and play in them. After just 3 years of hosting the Pro Am and 1 year of hosting the amateur event we are very grateful to our developer and title spon-sor Setune for their trust in us. We are also very happy to work with Turismo Costa del Sol. I am also very grateful to be able to speak to you today and being able to be in Ladies in Golf. One of my biggest fights in this is to get more female interested and to make them participate in the tournament. On the professional side we had this year our first three female professionals in Silvia Banon and Noemi Jimenez on the Ladies European Tour and Ana Fernandez de Diego in the Pro Am and even though I did not manage to make it per-fectly fair for them to play with the men I am wishful to be able to have even more females next year and to have them compete for the first prize. Unfortunately today when you look at women golf they are struggling with prize funds and it would be great to be able to create an event, which would also help them to grow their game. So my biggest target is the equal out the percentage between participants of men and women.

Setune Amateur Pairs. As I earlier said our goals is to do something different. We want to offer a quality event where the amateurs feel like a profes-sional and play golf courses in the same condition as we do on tour. Live scoring, leading group the last day where you really get to test your nerves. I always thought good amateur events for everyone is missing and we lacking definitely of these types of events in Costa del Sol. There are of course a lot of tournaments but proper events where you get the special feeling is very few. This is where we are heading and our vision in the Amateur event is to grow on the female side and grow the event and motivate players to travel for a long weekend to meet new people who like the same as they do but also enjoy the evening events we put on. For example the opening night and the Gala dinner with an amazing prize giving ceremony with golf equipment, electronic products and golf trips as prizes.
Setune International Pro Am Costa del Sol. Costa del Golf hosted by Peter Gustafsson. We have during 3 years been building this event and we are tweaking it every year and trying to find new things to attract new participants. We have set the limit to 36 teams and 144 players and we have gratefully been fortunate the last 2 years to reach this amount with players from over 22 diffe-rent countries every year. Last year we had our first entire ladies team and hopefully for 2020 we will be able to have 3-4 female teams participating.
