Sandra is friendly, extrovert and very self-confident. Her sister Patricia, on the other hand, is shy, introverted, and doesn’t like drawing attention to herself. Apart from sharing the same parents, they are also united in their passion for golf. Both are professionals and are competing this year in the Santander Golf Tour. They took their first steps as toddlers on a putting green, growing up around the golf courses in Castellón.
Their love for this sport started with their mother, Isabel, who passed it onto her husband and two daughters. Now, Isabel is happy to take a back seat and accompany her daughters to competitions as a caddie, offering them support, encouragement and a shoulder to cry on when things don’t turn out as planned. The three of them make up the Martín Haro team, brimming with beauty, character, and above all, a winning mentality.

Isabel Haro started playing when she was young. Her friends encouraged her to try and she soon became such a fanatic, that she convinced her husband (at the time her boyfriend) to start playing as well. “When we were younger, he couldn’t understand how I could go out and play the morning after a night out. He would take me to the competition, drop me off and then leave”, she reflects. “I told him that I would try and win some clubs for him so he could try. I was true to my word, and I then signed him up for classes. Before long, he was hooked. In the end, he became the one training every day. Then his friends challenged him to reach their level, and two years later, he was beating them all. He quickly learnt a very good short game. He has incredible control over the ball, knowing exactly where to place it.”
The couple then started to turn heads on the Costa de Azahar golf course and around the Mediterranean. Isabel reached a handicap of 9.5 and her husband, zero. “I’ve got photos of my husband, picking up prizes for the tournaments, with my baby girls in his arms. They have been brought up on the golf course, in the Mediterranean. Weekends have always been made up of golf, more golf and then golf again. They were raised surrounded by the fairways. They never came off the course”. “Sandra initially took more of an interest in tennis, but Patricia was always into golf.” Isabel tells us.

Sandra Martín Haro adored playing tennis, and although she also played golf, she wasn’t confident enough to compete. Finally, when she decided to sign up for tournaments, her ability with the racket would help her in training as she went from a handicap of 36 down to 10 in six months and was ranked sixth in Spain in her category. Winning 10 consecutive tournaments ended up tipping the balance in favour of golf over tennis. She’s been a professional for several years. Although she’s happy with her progress, she is aware that it’s very difficult to make a living from it, which is why she also works in the family company and takes a great interest in fashion. She’s a keen Instagrammer who has an army of followers. “Body posture is the most important thing in golf. You must always smile at the finish”, she tells us.
Her charm and fun nature have made her an ideal companion on the Pro-Am circuit, which is what she enjoys the most. “The thing I like most about golf is the people you meet, the relationships you strike up, the atmosphere, travel and the parties. The Pro-Am tournaments are my favourite because I love motivating people. I can help others and I really enjoy playing with children and other women. The social side of golf is also, without doubt, another of the best aspects for me.”

Patricia Marín Haro, on the other hand, wants to dedicate herself 100% to golf. She became a professional last summer and, although she studies languages and works with her father in the security industry, her dream is to take the step to becoming part of the world elite in golf: “The competition is what I like most. Training is always motivated by competition”, explains this young talent, who is a specialist in the short game. The younger Haro sister gets her charm from her sweet and shy nature. She trains non-stop for more than five hours a day and, thanks to having always played with her older sister, she usually comes to the fore in tournaments even though there may be stronger players than her.

Sandra and Patricia support each other, complement each other, and grow when they are together. Their 100% Latin blood has a wonderful mix of Spanish, Italian and French character. Their bloodline, with origins in the world of show business, is beginning to shine through ever more and they are soon planning to surprise the world with their début in the world of music. Their values and commitment to the world of show business become stronger every day – a world from which they take their motivational mantra: “The show must go on”.
